Dr. Greene has a long and
extensive experience in pediatric dentistry.
Following his graduation from the New York
University College of Dentistry, he went on
active service in the United States Navy.
His first tour was at the Naval Regional
Dental Center San Diego where he received
training in all areas of general dental
practice. This was followed by several years
of service traveling the world as a Ship's
Dentist aboard the USS Samuel Gompers.
Leaving active service, Dr Greene completed
a residency in pediatric dentistry at the
University of Connecticut School of Dental
Medicine. Following the completion of his
residency, Dr Greene joined the faculty of
the University of Connecticut. He left the
University of Connecticut to teach pediatric
dentistry in Texas at the Baylor College of
Dentistry. Dr Greene returned to
Connecticut, resumed his faculty position
and opened his private practice in pediatric
dentistry in Avon in 1984.
Dr. Greene has been a member
of the Craniofacial Disorders Team since its
earliest days at the University of
Connecticut. The team is now located at the
Connecticut Children's Medical Center in
Hartford.
Dr. Greene brings a broad
breadth of training and experience in all
areas of dental care for children,
adolescents and patients with special health
care needs. He is recognized for his
expertise in treating patients with autism.
Dr. Greene has privileges at the University
of Connecticut Health Center, Connecticut
Children's Medical Center, Saint Francis
Hospital and Hartford Hospital. He is a
member of numerous professional
organizations and societies.
Dr. Greene had a
distinguished career in the Navy Reserve
retiring a Captain in the Dental Corps in
2003.
